The Zagora Desert tour is amongst the popular tours we offer at Marrakech Desert Travel. It offers a unique experience to adventurers with breathtaking sunsets, camel rides and a sleep over in our luxury tents at the desert camp.
Our 2 day tour from Marrakech will give you the chance to cross the High Atlas Mountains visiting typical Berber Villages, the amazing Draa Valley and the UNESCO Heritage Site of Ksar Ait Benhaddou. Adventurers on this tour will view the sunset riding on a camel to the middle of the Zagora Desert for an overnight stay at our desert camp under the stars.
This tour is designed to fit the needs of those travelers who just have a few days and want to experience a Desert Safari in Marrakech.
Morning departure from your hotel in Marrakech to Zagora Desert through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka 2260 meter high pass.
The mountains are surrounded by beautiful scenery and Berber villages, where we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, the largest Kasbah in Morocco.
Continuing the road to Zagora we will visit the Berber villages of Agdz and the picturesque Draa Valley with its garden of palm trees.
On arrival to Zagora in the evening you will start your sunset camel trekking tour into the middle of the desert for an overnight camp at our luxury tents.
Enjoy traditional Moroccan dinner & breakfast under the stars with locals playing traditional Moroccan songs for you.
Experience the morning sunrise over the dunes of Zagora, followed by a typical local breakfast.
We will depart from the desert with a camel ride to meet your driver who will drive you back to Marrakech.
On the way, we will stop over at Ouarzazate for lunch in a local restaurant and visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. After lunch, we will drive you back to your hotel in Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains bringing your Moroccan adventure to an end.
