Itinerary

Arrival at Mohammed V International airport in Casablanca, where you will be greeted by your private tour guide. He will transport you directly to Marrakech, setting up room reservations if needed and clarifying any doubts about Morocco.

Overnight and half-board in the hotel in Marrakech.

First day in Marrakech, where you will enjoy breakfast and a day of visiting famous spots in Marrakech, such as the ‘Red City’, the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara, the Saadian tombs and Koutoubia (librarians’ mosque).

The Koutoubia mosque was inaugurated under the Almoravids’ Berber Dynasty in 1120, then it was renovated in 1162 under the Emir Almohade Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, and became a building most characteristic of its style.

After breakfast, we will start our adventure to spend the morning in the Ourika valley.

In the afternoon we will return to Marrakech, where we will enjoy a lunch break and discover the UNESCO World Heritage site of Jemaa el-Fna square.

It is a touristic hotspot which attracts thousands of visitors daily, a historical meeting point for people of the desert and the mountains. You will be entertained shopping in local souks and by local Moroccan snake charmers, monkey trainers, storytellers, musicians and other popular forms of art (games, henna designs, etc.)

Early rise and breakfast to depart to the city of Ouarzazate, a magical place used as a set for ‘Game of Thrones’ and many features in Hollywood movies. We will drive the high altitude and difficult roads of Tizi n’Tichka.

Then we will drop you and check-in your hotel room (La Perle du Sud hotel  or similar accommodations) in Ouarzazate, where you will be able to enjoy a lunch break and visit the city in the afternoon.

In the evening, we will enjoy a private evening at the hotel nightclub (DJ and local tunes).

Morning departure to Merzouga after breakfast, through the Dades and Tinghir.

We will arrive in Erfoud, an oasis city lost in the Sahara Desert and then we will depart for a Jeep adventure through the path of the Paris-Dakar Rally. Visiting the unique marine fossil banks (formed more than 360 million years).

We will continue our Jeep trek to the largest dunes in Morocco, Erg Chebbi dunes, visit the Khamliya village, where the locals of Malian origin will offer us tea, whilst we enjoy a show of their traditional dancing.

Potentially we will also experience an unforgettable desert sunset riding on a camel in the dunes.

Dinner and overnight under the stars in our desert camp in Merzouga.

We will enjoy traditional breakfast in our bivouac in the desert before returning to Marrakech.

On the way, we will stop for a Lunch break.

Once we arrive to our destination in Marrakech, we will setup your rooms in the hotel.

Overnight and half-board in hotel.

Free day to discover the city of Marrakech.

Following breakfast, we will transfer you to Mohammed V International airport in Casablanca, according to flight times.

This is the end of your Moroccan adventure with us!

Another exciting adventure with Exodus

Another exciting adventure with this tour company. Our trip was at the end of April/beginning of May and it was very hot !!!! I'm told June/July is even hotter. Phew !!!!Despite this I loved every minute of it. It was a very busy trip but extremely well organised. I very much liked the additional drink stops as it was so very hot. Home made chilled lime was just the thing. I also very much liked Lam pre-booking the meals and us all going together. He found some wonderful places and we had delicious fresh food. There just isn't time to find somewhere yourself. This really worked well.We were lucky to be with a super group of people. Everyone happy and smiling and enjoying every moment..................well................except a few of the group who did get a bit sore. Please do get yourself some chamois butter and padded pants. It works a treat. It worked well having all the cycling in the beginning. The train was much better than I had expected and I slept like a log !!! Whale Island and Halong Bay were real treats and I would have loved more time there. But, overall, the trip was perfect for timing as it kept us within the 15 day Visa limit and we saw and did so much.Despite being informed in writing by the tour operator that our big holdalls/suitcase stays with us all the time......this was not the case. You do need to have a rucksack or flat pack bag big enough for the one and two night stays (Whale Island and Halong Bay). In fact......it works very well to just take small luggage. Much easier to do once you get your head around it.I found the cycling easy compared with other trips I've done but I do feel it is right to be called a Level 3. Everyone cycles slightly differently and there is always a bit of a mix of abilities........which makes for a good group cycle I think.

The customer service before departure was excellent, the organisation from start to finish was excellent, the accommodation was better than expected, the group leader was excellent, the itinerary was excellent. As a solo female traveller I felt completely comfortable with the rest of the group whether they were traveling alone, with friends or with partners. The mix of activities, geographical locations, sights, sounds, terrain and communities left you feeling like you had experienced and encountered Vietnam, its history, its people and its landscape

Lifelong memories

We were part of a group of 17 who quickly formed a close bond created entirely by the enthusiasm and generosity of our leader. Nothing was too much trouble Long went out of his way every day to make sure we experienced in full life in Vietnam. The trip ran like clockwork, without us feeling we were being rushed at any stage. He made it fun even when we cycled 100 k in a day taking in a very high mountain pass
